Doctor Brandon Quark[1] is a minor antagonist that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. He is a brilliant professor and a mad scientist rival of Dr. Robotnik who had a lab accident that turned him into a duck hybrid.
Appearance[]
Dr. Quark is a human-duck hybrid. He has spiky red hair, sharp teeth, light yellow skin and gray eyes. He wears a gray suit, green goggles, gray gloves, green boots, and a belt with a yellow buckle in the middle.

According to himself, as a child, Dr. Quark had a pet tarantula whose legs he pulled off. As an adult, he would create one of his greatest creations: the Design Unit Flexible Underling Substitute (D.U.F.U.S.). At some other point, he also had a laboratory accident that turned his feet into duck feet.[1]
Season one[]
At some point, Dr. Quark tried to catch Sonic and Tails, although he was soon stopped by another evil genius, Dr. Robotnik. They fought to see who deserved to conquer Mobius, although they eventually decided to make a truce to catch Sonic and Tails. However, they later were tricked by the heroes into thinking that they were insulting each other; this made them become enemies again. When his D.U.F.U.S. robot later betrayed him and he lost to Dr. Robotnik, Quark went insane, causing him to believe himself a duck and fly south.[1]
Personality[]
Dr. Quark is an arrogant and power-hungry evil genius who wishes to rule Mobius. He is very self-absorbed and smug, often bragging about his intelligence and inventions and saying that he wants to turn the planet into a shrine dedicated to himself. Dr. Quark is very wicked, proudly proclaiming himself to be "evil". He was even sadistic as a child, claiming that as a little boy, he had a pet tarantula whose legs he would pull off. After getting fused with a duck during a lab accident, Dr. Quark got very sensitive about his duck-like appearance, and hates whenever someone calls him "Quack" or a duck. After losing to Dr. Robotnik however, Quark went insane and thought himself to be a duck.[1]
Powers and abilities[]
Dr. Quark is a scientific genius, rivaling Dr. Robotnik in intellect. He is capable of inventing advanced weapons and devices, such as a shrink ray, a laser gun, a super intelligent, shapeshifting robot, and a giant and armored tank-like vehicle.[1]

Dr. Ivo Robotnik, like Quark, is an evil scientist who plans to dominate Mobius. Eventually, they met in person and fought to see who deserved to conquer the planet. However, due to the appearances of Sonic and Tails, they put their differences aside and formed a truce. Despite this, due to the heroes, Quark and Robotnik were tricked into thinking that they were insulting each other and became enemies again.[1]
