Doctor Genius is a character that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway Editions. He is a mad scientist and incompetent supervillain, sarcastically called "the greatest criminal mind ever".
History
Doctor Genius was a scientist who hated heroes like Sonic and Tails. Wishing to prove that it was possible for the heroes to be beaten, he designed and built a force field vest that generated a barrier around him, making him literally untouchable. Tails attempted to apprehend him but was repelled by Genius' force field.
Doctor Genius approached the bank, using the force field to crumble its walls. A bank security guard then attempted to shoot the mad scientist, only for his shots to ricochet off the barrier. However, the force field prevented Doctor Genius from stealing any of the cash, so he turned it off in order to grab the money. Tails used the opportunity to knock Doctor Genius out and he was sent to jail.[1]
