Dr. Eggman's chair is a stylistic white chair with red chair padding and armrests with small hand pads. The most obvious feature is its lack of a footset, enabling it to float in the air. It is shown that Eggman is able to move anywhere he wants with his chair, although it is not known how he is able to do this. In Sonic Colors, it is also shown to be able to move back to its original place like a boomerang after Eggman kicks it to bounce around the room.
Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)
In Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr. Eggman's chair was first foreshadowed after the battle with Egg Wyvern. In the ending cutscene both Egg Wyvern and Egg Mobile fell apart, leaving Eggman floating only his chair. After bouncing from Egg Mobile's displaced arm, Dr. Eggman somehow managed to get to safety. It is unknown if the chair itself survived the incident.
In the Wii version Sonic Colors, Dr. Eggman's chair is once again seen in two cutscenes with minor changes. This time it is located in the main computer room deep inside the doctor's Interstellar Amusement Park, where the computer displays status reports for the giant Mind Control Cannon. After the mind control cannon explodes and Eggman nevertheless decides to crush Sonic, he rises to the upper tunnel section in his Nega-Wisp Armor with his chair.
- Years before Sonic Unleashed and Sonic Colors, a similar floating chair is featured in one of the pieces of concept art that originated during the production of Sonic the Hedgehog CD, which was later made available as unlockable content in Sonic Generations. Dubbed as the VCCI-811 "President's chair" in concept, it is possible that this chair would have worked as a boss vehicle or something similar that Eggman may have used as a replacement for his Egg Mobile.
- The chair could be a loose combination of the real-life Tulip and Egg chair models, as Eggman's chair possesses the same color scheme as the Tulip model and the same shape as the Egg model.
