Doctor Deep (ドクターディープ[1] Dokutā Dīpu?) is one of the five main antagonists (alongside Dr. Don't, Dr. Babble, Mr. Dr. Eggman, and Dr. Done-It) of the Sonic Prime Netflix series. He is an evil human who is a high-ranking member of the Chaos Council.
Appearance[]
Doctor Deep is a fair-skinned man of average height and has a more slender build compared to the other members of the council. He has skinny arms and legs, an orange nose, green hair done in a style similar to a samurai, and a green-colored thin handlebar mustache.
Doctor Deep's attire is based on Japanese culture. He wears a white and red shirt and a black vest that resembles a kimono of a Shogun and the vest possessed a logo that resembles his face on both sides of it, a pair of dark-blue jeans, a pair of black sunglasses, a white belt with a gold buckle around his waist, a pair of black sneakers that resemble sandals, a pair of white gloves, and a green-colored beaded wristband around the wrist of his left arm.

Past[]
Not much is known about his past, but the Chaos Council was already formed when they attacked Green Hill. They sent the Eggforcers to remove all vegetation. Its five members where in agreement to start a new leaf while being tyrants of their soon-to-be New Yoke City. Mister Doctor Eggman offered himself as the leader, but Doctor Deep was not happy with the idea. Babble suggested to divide the city in 5 different districts, one for each of them. They all went with his idea.
Season one[]

Rusty Rose introduces Sonic to the Chaos Council, with Doctor Deep being one of them. The doctors put Sonic trough some tests in order to see what he is capable of. Despite Doctor Deep and the rest not wanting to, they go with Babble's idea to dissect Sonic to see what he is made of. He is saved by the Resistance. Deep and the rest are caught in the fight, but they are able to escape. They all go to a control room where they sent more Eggforcers to deal with the rebels. Doctor Deep then decides to go into battle himself, using his own robot. He assauls Sonic and friends in the stairs. He fiercely fights against Sonic, giving him a good fight. But his efforts are not enough to defeat the Resistance. A bit later, he follows Sonic and crew and realizes they are after their power source: the Shard. He tries to stop them but Nine is able to take the Shard.

Some weeks later, the Council receives news from Rusty Rose that Sonic is in town. She also tells them there might be multiple Shards. The Council fights against the rebels in the city streets. Doctor Deep uses his personal robot once again. He gets into an aereal fight against Rebel Rouge, and he manages to defeat her. In the end, the Council is able to capture Nine along with the Shard.
Season two[]

Using the red Shard, the Council is finally able to enter the Void. Doctor Deep is sento to No Place along with Doctor Done-It, in pursue of the blue Shard. They have a complicated relationship, as they don't get along too well and fight over basically everything. Whenever Doctor Deep is doing some yoga, Done-It is clueless and gets it confused with "yogurt" instead, which frustrates Deep. The doctors sent Eggforcers to attack the Kraken with Dread's crew. Once again, Deep uses his robot to deal with the heroes. They manage to have the Shard for a while, until Sonic personally steals it from them. They tell the other members of the Council that their job is done, even though its not. The other members come and are able to get the Shard.

When they finally get all three Shards, the Council debates on what to do with them. They create bigger and stronger Eggforcers. Doctor Deep and the others get on an argument as they all seem to have a different idea on what to do with the Shards. The Council is able to create buildings in the other worlds just by using the Shard's energy. They follow Sonic, Nine and Shadow into Ghost Hill, and sent the Eggforcers after them. Doctor Deep and Babble work together, as they fight against Sonic and Shadow. By harnessing the power of the Shards, Deep and Babble get more powerful, generating some trouble for the heroes.
Season three[]

When Ghost Hill starts to collapse after Nine steals the Prism, the Council uses the little energy they have left to go back to New Yoke. Some time later, when Sonic fights Grim Birds on top of the Yoke, they surprisingly help him in the battle. Sonic is shocked, but Deep states that it's only temporary until they can fix the chaos. He even tries to attack Sonic by mistake, claiming old habits are hard to forget. The Council makes a deal, and lets Sonic and his friends stay in their base. Dr. Deep quickly clashes with Knucks, but Sonic works hard to keep them all united.

The Chaos Council aligns with the rebels and travel to the Grim to assist Sonic in the fight against Nine. Deep argues with Rebel and Knucks about the Prism. Later, he is strongly against letting Rebel come up with a plan, but Sonic seems to have the final word. Despise hating her idea, Deep goes along with it and fights alongside the heroes in the war. He helps Knucks getting rid of some Grim Knuckles robots, claiming they are the weakest. Once the big fight is over, the Council and the rest of the heroes break into Nine's lab to confront him again. When Nine apologizes and fixes the Prism using Sonic's energy, the Council takes the opportunity to go back to their usual ways. Deep and the other members of the Council start to fight over the use of the Prism. The heroes kick them out into the Void.
Personality[]
Dr. Deep is very philosophical, musing out loud on the philosophical ramifications of Sonic's existence. He is flamboyant in his gestures, something of a show-off, and his designs are grandiose to say the least. Like the other members of the Chaos Council, Dr. Deep is evil and power-hungry. He is no different than the other members when it comes to claiming leadership of the council. He is also sadistic, laughing while watching Sonic get shot at with lasers. He is also short-tempered, and hates watching his opponents get away, such as when Sonic left him behind. He can easily betray his allies when it comes to his advantage.
Dr. Deep appears to be fond of Japanese culture, as he is dressed like a Japanese shogun, with a mustache to match. His mech suit does not have guns, but allows him to fight hand-to-hand like a samurai.
Powers and abilities[]
Dr. Deep is a genius designer of robotics, his creations as grand and flamboyant as he is. He has created a suit of high-tech samurai armor with swords on the back and flaming buzz-saws on the shoulders, which he uses to battle others - and to show off in. Additionally, Deep also has some shurikens.

Deep was partnered with Dr. Done-It to retrieve the Blue Prism Shard from No Place. While they were there, they both argue over whose the better driver and Done-It got annoyed with Deep's yoga.

Dr. Deep and Mr. Dr. Eggman are both allies. Deep along with Dr. Babble assisted with Mr. Dr. Eggman with attacking the Rebel HQ.
Dr. Babble[]
Dr. Deep and Dr. Babble are both allies. What they have in common is that they have their own mech suit.
Dr. Don't[]
Dr. Deep and Dr. Don't are both allies. Though they don't interact much, he did laugh over Don't mocking Mr. Dr. Eggman.

Sonic was an enemy to Dr. Deep in the first two seasons. But when he along with the rest of the Chaos Council decided to help him with the Alpha Grim Birdies, it was because he told Sonic that New Yoke City would be wiped out if they don't stop Nine.

- Dr. Deep's name differs across languages:
- In the French dub, Dr. Deep is known as "Docteur Égo", in which "égo" is French for "ego". His name might be a reference to his personality.
- In the Mandarin Chinese dub, Dr. Deep is known as "迪普博士" (Dí pǔ bóshì), making him the sole Chaos Council member where the dubbed name is transcribed from the English version.
- In the Polish dub, Dr. Deep is known as "Doktor Głębiel", however in the credits it is misspelled as "Doktor Gąbiel".
- Dr. Deep is a vegetarian despite the fact he hates animals and nature.
- Dr. Deep's personality is reminiscent to that of stereotypes associated with millennials.
