Doctor Babble (ドクター・バブル[1] Dokutā Baburu?) is one of the five main antagonists (alongside Dr. Deep, Dr. Don't, Mr. Dr. Eggman, and Dr. Done-It) of the Sonic Prime Netflix series. He is an evil human baby who is a high-ranking member of the Chaos Council and the first member that Sonic met.
Appearance[]
Dr. Babble is a baby with a blue pacifier and deep blue-ish green goggles. He has a tuft of brown hair on his head, wears a red outfit with white socks and a diaper.
History[]
Past[]
Not much is known about his past, but the Chaos Council was already formed when they attacked Green Hill. They sent the Eggforcers to remove all vegetation. Its five members where in agreement to start a new leaf while being tyrants of their soon-to-be New Yoke City. Babble suggested to divide the city in 5 different districts, one for each of them. They all went with his idea.
Season one[]

Babble is the first member of the Council to meet Sonic. In his district, he attacks Sonic in his signature mech. Sonic is confused at first, until Babble proves to be a real opponent. When Sonic defeats him, Babble starts to cry in frustration. Babble was ready for another round, but Sonic refuses to fight with the baby. When Sonic and Nine go out to the streets, Babble captures and takes them to the Council's base. The doctors put Sonic through some tests in order to see what he is capable of. Doctor Babble suggests to dissect Sonic to see what he is made of. The other doctors seem a bit shocked with his extreme idea, but they go with it anyway. Sonic is saved by the Resistance's leaders, Rebel Rouge and Renegade Knucks. Babble and the rest are caught in the fight, but they are able to escape. They all go to a control room where they sent more Eggforcers to deal with the rebels. A bit later, Babble faces Sonic again. The hedgehog goes out of the base and runs on the rails. Babble follows him with some Eggforcers by his side. They engage in battle, but are no match for Sonic.

Some weeks later, the Council receives news from Rusty Rose that Sonic is back in New Yoke City. She also tells them their Energy Crystal (the red Shard) is only one Shard. The Council fights against the rebels in the city streets. Babble uses his robot again, fighting against Sonic, Rebel and Knucks, proving himself to be a worthy opponent in battle once again. The Council is able to capture Nine and the red Shard in his Shattercraft.
Season two[]

Using the red Shard and building a new Shatter Drive based off of Nine's one, the Council is finally able to enter the Void. Mister Doctor Eggman stays in the main ship while he sent Dr. Babble and Don't to attack the Boscage Maze and steal its Shard. Babble in his robot, surprises Sonic and Thorn Rose in the jungle, shooting laser beams at them. During the fight, Babble throws a full tantrum after Thorn destroyed the baby rattle mace on his mech suit. After a long fight, the Council is victorious and steals the green Shard.
When they finally get the blue Shard alongside the red and green ones, the Council debates on what to do with them. They create bigger and stronger Eggforcers. The Council is able to create buildings in the other worlds just by using the Shard's Energy. They follow Sonic, Nine and Shadow into Ghost Hill, and sent the Eggforcers after them. Doctor Babble teams up with Doctor Deep to fight Sonic and Shadow. While they seem to have a hard time, the Shards' Energy give them some needed assistance, making them stronger. However, once Sonic acquires his Shatter Sonic transformation, he and Doctor Deep are no match for him
Season three[]

When Ghost Hill starts to collapse after Nine steals the red, green, blue and yellow Shards and puts them alongside the purple on, which reassembles the Paradox Prism (in an incomplete manner) in The Grim, the Council uses the little energy they have left to go back to New Yoke. Some time later, when Sonic fights two Grim Birdies and their Alpha counterpart on top of the Yoke, they surprisingly help him in the battle. Babble is seen using his mech, fighting against the Grim Birdies and their Alpha counterpart. The Council and Sonic make a deal so everyone can stay at the Yoke. Since Babble can't talk, he doesn't interact with any of the heroes. Some time later, he joins the Council and the rest in the fight against Nine in The Grim. He proves to be good at fighting, as his mech gives him the strength to punch the hordes of Grim Troopers.

Once the big fight is over, the Council and the rest of the heroes break into Nine's lab to confront him again. While everyone is sad about the Shatterverse possibly ending, Babble is the only one amused by it, showing how dark his thoughts can be. When Nine apologizes and fixes the Paradox Prism by extracting Sonic's Prism Energy, the Council takes the opportunity to go back to their usual ways and steal the fully restored Paradox Prism. But Babble and all the others have different plans for the Paradox Prism and how to use it, which causes them to fight each other. In the end, all of them are knocked out to the Void.
Personality[]
Being a baby, Dr. Babble behaves very immaturely, such as crying and throwing tantrums when he is upset or impatient. According to Dr. Don't, he can go into full tantrum mode. Despite his young age, Dr. Babble is evil and power-hungry like all members of the Chaos Council. Being a baby, Babble communicates by yelling and babbling gibberish, though the other members of the Council can understand him. In fact, Babble seems to be the cruelest and most merciless member of the Chaos Council, as his plan for using the Energy Extractor to harvest Sonic's speed was initially deemed "excessive" by the other members. He is also quite sadistic, tending to giggle when he attacks someone. Babble is also very short-tempered and violent, with Sonic describing him as the angriest baby he has ever met, more so when losing against Sonic in battle, babbling in frustration. Babble is also insane, laughing and clapping his hands with glee when he believed The Grim, the last remaining Shatterverse, would be destroyed with him and the rest of the Chaos Council in it.
Powers and abilities[]
As an infant, Dr. Babble is limited in what he can do on his own. However, he is shown to be physically capable of standing and even running on all four limbs that can keep pace with those older than him. Being very intelligent for his age, while also capable of piloting his own mecha without any problem, Dr. Babble can even fight Sonic without problem, just like the other members of the Chaos Council, in his mecha while issuing commands, making him very dangerous. Babble is also somewhat of a good gamer when he was seen blasting some floating shards with the Mothership's laser cannons through a game controller.
Equipment[]

Dr. Babble utilizes an egg-shaped mecha resembling a baby's toy to combat his opponents. The mecha is equipped with a variety of weapons, including a mace-arm resembling a baby rattle as well as a laser gatling gun. Whichever weapon is used at any given moment is selected at random by a spinning roulette, which activates whenever the mech taps its front.

Dr. Babble and Mr. Dr. Eggman are both allies. Babble (along with Dr. Deep) assisted in helping Eggman attack the Rebel HQ.
Dr. Don't[]
Dr. Babble was partnered with Dr. Don't to retrieve the Boscage maze shard. While they were there, when Thorn Rose broke Babble's baby rattle mace, he began to throw a full tantrum, Don't tried to calm him down but that didn't go well.
Dr. Done-It[]
Dr. Babble and Dr. Done-It are both allies. Babble blew raspberry at Done-It when he assumed Babble along with Dr. Don't would mess up on their mission to retrieve the Boscage maze shard due to Done-It's dislike of young people.
Dr. Deep[]
Dr. Babble and Dr. Deep are allies. What they have in common is that they have their own mech suit. Deep was also the only member of the Chaos Council to calm down Babble.
Sonic the Hedgehog[]
Dr. Babble was the first member of the Chaos Council that Sonic met. After Dr. Babble lost to Sonic when they first fought, he began to develop a hatred for Sonic.
