History

Past

During the war between the Eggman Empire and the Resistance, the Deployment Pods were used by the latter to send Wisps into enemy areas where they would wait for Resistance soldiers to arrive and free them from the pods. Despite the accommodations, the Wisps did not mind the pods.[1]

Shortly before the war ended, the mercenaries Rough and Tumble used Deployment Pods to imprison the Wisps they had hoarded from the town they had taken over.[1]

Fallout

Hoarded Deployment Pods

Knuckles sees some hoarded Deployment Pods, from Sonic the Hedgehog #3.

After Sonic and Knuckles came to Rough and Tumble's town and defeated the two villains, the townspeople helped free the captured Wisps from their Deployment Pods.[1]
