Default Trail

The Default Trail is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a trail used to modify the playable character's appearance and boost their rewards.

Description[]

When equipped, the Default Trail takes the appearance of a textured white and smooth streak that the playable character leaves behind them while they move around or surrounds them like an aura when they stand still. This trail stretches out from behind the playable character until it eventually fades away.

Overview[]

In Sonic Speed Simulator, the Default Trail is a collectible trail of the "Default" rarity. It is the only trail the player starts out with when beginning the game for the first time. It will be equipped to the playable character when starting out.

In gameplay, the Default Trail lets the playable character produce this trail's textured streak behind them as they move around. In addition, when equipped, the Default Trail will grant additional Experience Points whenever the playable character obtains a Chaos Orb. The player can as well level up the Default Trail for a cost of Rings and/or Red Star Rings at the Upgrade Machine, with level 25 being the maximum level. Leveling up the Default Trail will improve its reward-granting attributes.

The Default Trail a very unique item in Sonic Speed Simulator, as it is the only item that can be equipped to the playable character that only grants extra Experience Points. It is also the only item that can be equipped to the playable character that gives no bonuses at level 1. Furthermore, the Default Trail cannot be deleted from the inventory, nor can it be evolved as the player is only given one. While it can still be leveled up and be unequipped like other trails, it takes up one inventory slot. Also, for every level it gains, the Default Trail's XP bonus increases by two.
