Trivia[]

  • The term "Ddraig Goch" (pronounced "THR-AI-GH GO-CH," CH as in the Scottish English pronunciation for loch) is Welsh, meaning "red dragon", and is a reference to the heraldic charge on the Flag of Wales.
    • In a real Welsh context, "Ddraig Goch" is actually spelled wrong. The correct spelling would be "Draig Goch," as "Ddraig" only occurs as a soft mutation following the definite article (y/yr/'r), Welsh' s equivalent to "the." Thus, a grammatically correct context would be "Y Ddraig Goch," or "The Welsh Dragon."
