History[]
Archie Comics[]
Dawn was first seen with Sam Speed and Paul, timing Sam on his speed in a race with Sonic he was having. She attempted to council Sam when he lost the race before the three left for their garage in order to improve their cars.[1]
Some time later, Dawn was washing one of the team's cars with Paul. At that point, the team was informed of illegal street races, so Dawn, along with the others, Sonic included, raced off to confront the criminals, and upon doing so, stopped their illegal activities. Returning to the garage, Dawn and Paul were fixing up one of the cars when the Speed Team was once again called out, this time to confront an alien spacecraft.[2]
While Sam left to handle an out-of-control trolley, Dawn warned Sam that he was pushing his vehicle too hard but as he refused to listen, Dawn heard the car crash and quickly went with Paul to check if Sam was alright. When she met up with Sam, she was relieved that Sam was unharmed but then he vented his frustration by hitting his car. Dawn scolded Sam for his impulsive behavior, saying that he can't blame the car or Sonic for his accident and asked him to reflect back in the days when they were worked as a team before leaving with Paul. Dawn was later seen at the Sapphire Sea Refinery, where she attempted to assist in putting out a fire. When Sam showed up and used his new Speed 5000 to put out the fire, she and Paul were soaked in water. Soon after, Sam lost control of his car and nearly hurt his two friends, but they were instead saved by Sonic. Dawn and Paul soon managed to contact Sam via his wrist communicator, who asked them to put Chuck Thorndyke on the line.[3]
