The Dash Climb[1] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a technique used by Knuckles the Echidna where he does an accelerated vertical movement, and a variant of the Wall Climb.

Description

Knuckles dashclimb start.png

When performing the Dash Climb, Knuckles does a quick burst while Wall Climbing, creating a puff of dust below him, before curling into a ball and spinning up until he loses speed or launches off the top of the wall.

In gameplay, the Dash Climb can only be used when Knuckles has Amy Rose as his partner. When used, this move allows Knuckles to quickly scale vertical surfaces while Wall Climbing. However, the move can only be used for brief dashes and will cease once he gets launched off the top of the wall he is climbing. In addition, Knuckles can jump to get out of the Dash Climb, but not if he is actively falling. To perform the Dash Climb in gameplay, the player must hold right/left on Controlpadds.png and press GameboyA.png while using the Wall Climb.[1]
