For other uses of the term, see Dash (disambiguation).

The Dash[1][2] is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a technique that allows the user to move faster by running.

Description[]

When performing Dash, the user assumes a running position and starts moving forward at high speed. When doing this, the user is able to move much faster than they normally would.

In gameplay, the Dash allows the player to move around with the playable character at much greater speed than by walking or running around normally. Additionally, the Dash enables the player to make much farther jumps by jumping during the Dash.

  • In Sonic Forces: Speed Battle, when the Werehog collects 100 Rings in a race, he begins to run with his Dash animation. This can also occur when he runs over a Dash Panel, albeit temporarily if he has not collected 100 Rings.
