Daryl is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a human, a Westopolis citizen, and a dock worker for the Cut Rate Shipping Company.[1]

Appearance

Daryl is a fairly regular human slightly taller than Vector with black hair, stubbles and a mustache, along with long hair on his arms. For attire, he wears a white hat with a long rim and red band, a black-striped red shirt, and grey pants

History

Past

While transportering cargo, Daryl and his crew took a dangerous shortcut past the Knives when they were attacked by pirates who stole the cargo from their ship. During this raid, Daryl saw Princess Undina among the pirates. To cover up their blunder (both for business and insurance), Daryl had a friend falsify their records.[1]

The Case of the Pirate Princess

A few weeks later, Daryl met Echo the Dolphin, but refused to answer her questions about Princess Undina. When she returned with the Chaotix however, Daryl told them everything when Vector revealed his knowledge of Daryl's cover-up. While Daryl got Vector's research papers in exchange for his help though, he learned Vector had copies ready.[1]

Personality

Daryl is a somewhat dishonest person who is not above lying and arranging cover-ups to ensure a good image and income for his business, justifying it on the grounds that such actions are necessary when business is hard. However, he will crack rather severely and blabber out everything he knows when put under pressure, much to the annoyance of his coworkers.[1]
