The Cyclone Boost (サイクロンブースト Saikuron Būsuto?) is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a variation of the Boost used by Miles "Tails" Prower when he collects the maximum number of Rings.

Description[]

CycloneBoostIcon

Skill icon for Cyclone Boost.

When using the Cyclone Boost, Tails hops on his Cyclone. When using it on the ground, it will stand and stick to it. When using it in the air, Tails will use the Cyclone to fly. When using it towards a breakable object or enemy, such as Buzzers, it will destroy it.

Overview[]

In Sonic Frontiers, the Cyclone Boost is one of Tails' Skills in The Final Horizon.

The player must hold the Switch zr/Xbox RT2-1/R2 to use it. The player can move the Analog-Stick to steer the Cyclone around on land and/or in the air. Doing a Quick Step while performing the Cyclone Boost will make the vehicle do a barrel roll. Collecting the maximum number of Rings is required to use it, otherwise Tails will simply use the Boost.

In order to unlock the Skill, the player must use 30 Skill Points as Tails.

Trivia[]

  • Using the Infinite Boost, Tails is able to reach even greater heights in the Cyclone than Sonic using the Hedgehog Space Program.
  • Some of Tails' platforming challenges can be forcefully cleared by flying straight to the goal with the Cyclone Boost. This makes the skill one of the overpowered skills in the game.
  • Additionally, the player is able to refill the Boost Gauge while they are using the Cyclone Boost by simply performing Quick Steps upon the boost running out. Doing this will allow the player to continuously perform the Cyclone Boost, even if the Infinite Boost runs out.
