Cyborg Tails is a character that appears in the Sonic Boom television series. He is the cyborg clone of Miles "Tails" Prower and a member of Team Cybonic. He was made by Bolts from Tails' DNA and Roboken's technology for the purpose of helping Team Sonic defend Roboken from Hypnobot. Currently, he serves as one of Roboken's protectors.
Cyborg Tails is the spitting image of Tails, being almost identical to him in terms of anatomy. Cyborg Tails, however, is made of a form of metal that behaves like flesh and fur. By comparison, Cyborg Tails' body and fur have recesses and bolts along the lines of his framework. He also has gray and pale yellow metal where Tails has white and yellow fur respectively, black shoulder and leg joints, and completely light blue eyes with only slightly darker irises.
For attire, Cyborg Tails wears a metallic, yet flexible version of Tails' clothes (excluding the sportstape). Unlike Tails' clothes though, the belt has a light blue-glowing buckle and the goggles have blue lenses with gray frames. The remainder of Cyborg Tails' clothes also have recesses and bolts along the lines of his framework.
While on Eggman's soccer team, Cyborg Tails wore a soccer uniform that included a black and red t-shirt with an Eggman Industries chest logo, long red socks, and red shoes with white tongues and black laces and soles.
Cyborg Tails was created at the same time as the rest of Team Cybonic by Bolts from DNA donated by Tails. His purpose was to help Team Sonic take back Morristown when Hypnobot and Dr. Eggman invaded it with their hypnotized robots, and was designed with an organic brain so Hypnobot could not infect him. After getting introduced to Team Sonic, Cyborg Tails and his team entered Morristown from the bunker of their birth. With Hypnobot unable to control him, Cyborg Tails helped his counterpart and allies destroy the invading robots until Hypnobot was defeated and Eggman retreated with his army. Afterward, Cyborg Tails decided to remain in Morristown (now renamed "Roboken") with its team to keep the city safe.
Finding Eggman in Roboken again, Cyborg Tails and his team attacked him until he revealed that he had come with a peace offer. While talking however, Cyborg Tails, like his friends, got tricked by Eggman into wearing a mind control-bracelet. Now slaves to Eggman, Cyborg Tails and co. were brought to Seaside Island to beat Team Sonic in a soccer match. With Eggman promising the cyborgs' freedom after the game, Team Sonic agreed to the match-up. However, Cyborg Tails and co. proved too evenly matched with Team Sonic at practice, so they got reprogramed by Eggman to be meaner (but dumber) which gave them an edge. At the game however, Team Cybonic lost when Team Sonic exploited their stupidity. Cyborg Tails proceeded to attack Team Sonic on Eggman's order, but the heroes freed him and Team Cybonic by removing their bracelets. The teams then got some payback at Eggman.
A biomechanical cyborg, Cyborg Tails is intelligent and has both the free will and emotions of an organic lifeform. Presumably, he may also have some of Tails' personality traits due to being his clone. In any case, it shares his counterpart's commitment to the greater good and is devoted to protecting Roboken and its people from evil.
Although partly organic, Cyborg Tails is still a machine ruled by coding. As such, when confronted with something he cannot compute, he can freeze up.
Powers and abilities
Being Tails' clone, Cyborg Tails can utilize his twin-tails to achieve flight by twirling them around like rotary blades, similar to a helicopter. Alternatively, he can use thrusters on his feet for flight. He can also turn his fingers into tools (like a screwdriver) which he can use to sabotage machinery and fire lasers from his fingertips. Also, because Cyborg Tails has an organic brain, his systems are immune to malware signals.
Just like Tails, Cyborg Tails utilizes regular tools like weapons in combat. These tools include a copy of Tails' trusty monkey wrench.
