The Custom Shoes (カスタムシューズ, Kasutamu Shūzu^?) are objects that appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. They are footwear that Sonic the Hedgehog received from Alberto Robert which allows him to use Gems.

Description

The Custom Shoes when utilizing Gems.

The Custom Shoes are special shoes, capable of harnessing the power of the Gems, along with the Light Chip and Antigravity, to give the wearer different abilities. In their basic form, the Custom Shoes are identical to Sonic's shoes. When utilizing a Gem, however, their appearance changes drastically to resemble the 2G Hi-Speed Shoes, but the body color matches the color of the equipped Gem.

Overview

Sonic obtains these shoes from Alberto Robert in Castle Town as a reward for testing them out in his first Town Mission, "The Winder of a Shoemaker". They are needed to obtain the Light Chip and enter Wave Ocean.

Trivia

• Sonic uses the Custom Shoes for all but one Level Up Item in Sonic the Hedgehog (2006).
