The Crossbow Gauntlet[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics.
Description[]
The Crossbow Gauntlet is a crossbow attached to a gauntlet that Geoffrey St. John wears on his right arm. It is his primary method of combat. Geoffrey can utilize various types of bolts that serve different functions. These include an electrifying bolt that can stun, a gas bolt that can put people to sleep, small weak bolts and larger, more powerful bolts.
History[]
Deadliest of the Species[]
The Crossbow Gauntlet was first seen when Sally ran into Geoffrey, who aimed the weapon at her assuming she was an enemy, threatening to put her to sleep with his gas bolt, but due to an explosion knocking him over and finding out Sally was the princess of the Kingdom of Acorn, he let her go.[2]
In Service of the King[]
When Geoffrey and Sonic went to and managed to retrieve a Chaos Emerald from the Special Zone, Geoffrey backstabbed Sonic, using an electric bolt to temporarily stun him and steal the purple Chaos Emerald for himself.[3]
Chaos and the Crown[]
Later, after it was revealed that Geoffrey was allied with Ixis Naugus, he used the Crossbow Gauntlet while fighting the Knothole Freedom Fighters, and later on, once again when he fought the Secret Freedom Fighters underground beneath New Mobotropolis.[4]
