The Cross Slash^[1] (クロススラッシュ^[2], Kurosu Surasshu^?) is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is an attack used by Sonic the Hedgehog where he launches cross-shaped projectiles at his enemies.

When performing the Cross Slash, Sonic will float and turn around the enemy, with two of his copies in ball form rotate around him, creating shockwaves that forms a cross-like shape at his enemy.

In the gameplay of Sonic Frontiers, the Cross Slash serves as an unlockable Skill for Sonic to get freely by collecting 20 Tails' Memory Tokens and freeing Tails from the Cyber Cage on Chaos Island. It can be activated by pressing // + // while in mid-air.

In gameplay, this move is convenient for attacking enemies who put their shields on when the player is close by attacking from a distance. It also allows the player to hit multiple enemies if they are close enough when turning around. However, Cross Slash does not protect Sonic from attacks and the move will be canceled should the player receive damage. Furthermore, this attack is useless against enemies when their shields are on, instead rapidly vibrating the screen.

As Sonic's Quick Cyloop gauge charges with number of hits landed on enemies, Cross Slash, along with Sonic Boom is a useful skill to quickly stock up some Combo count and charge the gauge.
