Cream: Chao Hunt is the first Challenge Act of Speed Highway Act 1 in the console/PC version of Sonic Generations. It is unlocked after clearing every Stage in the Dreamcast era and is playable only as Classic Sonic.
Description
This Act takes place within a highly modified section of Speed Highway Act 1, which has a large number of flipping platforms and boxes scattered about. The player takes control of Classic Sonic in Speed Highway Act 1. The player competes with Cream the Rabbit in order to see who can collect the most Chao.
Overview
The player begins the Act on a stretch of highway, where they must navigate through a large course full of spikes, falling platforms, and Cop Speeders. Numerous Chao are scattered throughout the Act, which the player must collect on their way to the Goal Plate.
As long as the player stays ahead of her, Cream will only collect the Chao that the player misses, although she will move on ahead and pass the player, continuing to collect Chao further ahead if the player progresses too slowly. The player needs to collect at least eleven Chao to win, but their final total must be greater than what Cream's total is upon reaching the Goal.
Trivia
- The music that plays during this mission is a remix of the Quick Race music from Sonic Heroes and Balloon Park from Sonic The Hedgehog 3.
