While Carl does have an obsession with catching "The Blue Devil." that seems to alienate him from the rest of Green Hills, he does seem laid back enough to interact with them. Even confiding in Tom that he almost caught the creature. While he resorts to excessive means to catch him, such as setting up bear traps; he doesn't hold any true malice against Sonic. Treating the hunt, like as fun a game as Sonic does. When Robotnik threatens Sonic, Tom and Maddie, he shows up along side Wade preparing to take on the mad scientist with his chainsaw. Showing a much more nobler side.

While Carl does have an obsession with catching "The Blue Devil" that seems to alienate him from the rest of Green Hills, he does seem laid back enough to interact with them. He is not truly a malicious person and sees Sonic more of a rival he has yet to catch.

  • Carl's name for Sonic, "the blue devil", shares the name with the vehicle driven by Metal Sonic in Sonic Drift 2.
