Crate

The Crate^[1] is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a box-shaped item used to grant large amounts of items.

Description[]

Basically, the Crate is a box-shaped item meant to hold objects. However, its exact design depends on the Event featuring it:

Birthday Bash/Mechanic Tails' Ultra Prize Zone: During this Event, Crates resemble Eggman-themed gift packages. These packages are red with yellow and black hazard stripes on the edges, a black Eggman Empire decal on each side, a black lid, and gift ribbon on top that are designed like yellow and black hazard tape.
Firework Festival: During this event, Crates resemble the Wooden Containers from Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) with fireworks inside of them.

In Sonic Speed Simulator, the Crates are objects that appear in every one of the game's worlds during certain Events, their design depending on the theme of the Event.

In gameplay, Crates tie into the Event currently in play by providing the player will event-specific items. Notably, they can only be targeted with the Spin Dash and Homing Attack in order to be opened, although they will eventually respawn after a short while. In addition, when opened, the Crates will grant the player one hundred event-specific items. The items they grant in accordance to the Events are as follows:

Firework Festival: FireworKs
Mechanic Tails' Ultra Prize Zone: Rings
