The Cosmic Casino Zone boss is a vehicle that appears in Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure. It was a modified Egg Mobile created by Dr. Eggman. It was used by the doctor to combat Sonic.
Description
Appearance
The Cosmic Casino Zone boss is a modified Egg Mobile with a headlight on its upper front, gray edges and flashing blue lights in the shape of stripes on the sides. A giant pink gem is incrusted on its underside, which two electromagnets around the gem as well. It also has eight orange gems rotating around the horizontal middle of the vehicle.
Powers and abilities
Eggman's vehicle possesses the ability to fly at great speeds. The gem on its underside can also be used as a weapon.
History
Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure
In Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure, Dr. Eggman used this vehicle to attack Sonic when he was passing through Cosmic Casino Zone. In spite of Eggman's efforts though, his vehicle got destroyed by Sonic in the end.
Battle
The Cosmic Casino Zone boss is the third boss of Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure. The player fights it at the end of Cosmic Casino Zone Act 2.
Boss guide
When the player jumps into a pinball area at the end of Cosmic Casino Zone Act 2, Dr. Eggman will appear in his vehicle, moving toward the center of the arena, initiating the boss battle. Eggman will then start to move in a diagonal direction, bouncing off walls and floors at different angles in the same vein until he's defeated.
This boss needs eight hits to be defeated. Dr. Eggman can be reached with the help of the platforms, flipper and bumpers. However, the player must be careful not to get hit by the pink gem in doing so. After four hits, Eggman will move and bounce around at a faster speed than usual for the rest of the fight. Noticeably, Eggman temporarily stops moving when hit.
After being defeated, the Cosmic Casino boss will blow up. Eggman then flees in his Egg Mobile, leaving the player to open the capsule underneath the arena (reachable by jumping under the floor after the boss destruction clears the way) and clear the Zone in doing so.
