The Cooperation Mecha Group[note 1] is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced, bee-based Badnik created by Dr. Eggman that is usually seen cooperating with other Badniks of its kind.

Appearance[]

The Cooperation Mecha Group are a group of bee-based Badniks with simple round bodies, as well as yellow and black stripes. In addition, the Cooperation Mecha Group also have small orange antennae and stubby gray wings they use to fly in a singular place.

Overview[]

In Sonic Superstars, the Cooperation Mecha Groups can be encountered throughout Golden Capital Zone. In gameplay, the Cooperation Mecha Groups are typically found in groups of 3-6, in which they typically shoot out electrical discharges between each other in order to damage the player. Most of the time, the Cooperation Mecha Groups are typically encountered in tight pathways, making dodging their attacks much harder to accomplish. Despite this, the player can still destroy these Badniks relatively easily as long as they make sure not to attack them while they are still discharging electricity. Interestingly enough though, when one of the Badniks of a Cooperation Mecha Group is destroyed, the remaining Badniks of the Cooperation Mecha Group begin passing their electrical discharges to their other fellow Badniks. Like with most Badniks in the game, the Cooperation Mecha Group will release their Animal and award the player 100 points upon destruction.

Powers and abilities[]

Thanks to their wings, the Badniks that comprise a Cooperation Mecha Group are all capable of stationary flight. The Badniks in a Cooperation Mecha Group are also capable of transmitting a deadly electrical light to one another, though if their numbers are decreased, they become more vulnerable.

Trivia[]

  • The way the Badniks in the Cooperation Mecha Group cooperate with each other is likely a reference to how bees in real life work together in colonies.

Notes[]
