Commander Walters is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog film. He is a commander of the United States armed forces.

After Sonic accidentally causes a huge power blackout across the Pacific Northwest from his power generating an electromagnetic pulse (EMP), word of the incident soon reaches Arlington and the Pentagon. During a joint meeting of the top brass of the U.S. military, including the Secretary of Homeland Security, and possibly the Secretary of Defense (SECDEF), Walters realizes they need additional help to investigate the EMP incident, and suggests calling on Doctor Robotnik, despite concerns from the Joint Chiefs, especially the United States Navy Chief of Staff, about calling him in due to past encounters with the scientist. Despite their concerns, Walters realizes they have no other options to consider on the matter.

Walters later comes by the Wachoskis' house in Green Hills after Sonic defeated Robotnik and the Prototype, to reveal that the Pentagon has erased all information pertaining to what happened with Robotnik and Sonic, and to reward Tom and Maddie for their part in keeping things under wraps by giving them a gift card to Olive Garden as thanks from the U.S. government. He does try to get a peek at Sonic before Tom and Maddie politely close the door and send him on his way back to Arlington with his men.
