The Combat Mini-Sub[1] is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is an anthropomorphic bird foot soldier in the Battle Kukku Empire who serves as their undersea attack force.
Appearance[]
The Combat Mini-Subs are small anthropomorphic birds with short orange beaks. For attire, they wear round blue helmets with black visors covering their eyes. They also sit in small green submarines with orange edges on the rear and the bottom, blue fins on the side, a gray propeller on the rear, and a barrel on the front.
Overview[]
In Tails Adventure, Combat Mini-Sub appear as enemies. They are encountered within certain sections of Lake Rocky.
In gameplay, Combat Mini-Subs will appear from either the left or right side of the screen, which depends on the direction the Sea Fox is facing. They can appear either alone or in groups of two. When appearing, they will move forward. However, they may stop up and try to fire a projectile at the Sea Fox, before retreating. The player can easily destroy a Combat Mini-Sub with any weapon in the Sea Fox's arsenal. Alternatively, the player can ram them with the Sea Fox in order to destroy them, although the Sea Fox will take damage this way too. In addition, if the player takes out one Combat Mini-Sub in a group of Combat Mini-Subs, the other one will retreat.
Like several other enemies in Tails Adventure, the Combat Mini-Subs may drop a Ring upon being defeated.
Powers and abilities[]
The Combat Mini-Subs are avid pilots when it comes to handeling mini-subs.
Equipment[]
The Combat Mini-Subs, as their name implies, are equipped with miniature submarines. With them, they can travel around underwater with ease. These vehicles are also armed with guns for offense.
