A Clucky, from Sonic the Hedgehog #258.

The Clucky is a creature that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. They are a race of diminutive game fowl Mobinis inhabiting Sonic's World. The Cluckies are constantly captured by Dr. Eggman who uses them as batteries for his various Badniks.

The general Clucky resembles a white-feathered chicken with a round-shaped head, two large dark eyes, a tiny orange beak, and thick cheeks. Their wings are medium-sized compared to their bodies, which are smaller than their heads, and they possess soft orange feet with three toes on each foot. Additional features include a rather large comb and a small wattle under their beaks.

Hunted and freed

Following Dr. Eggman's uprising, the Cluckies have perpetually been kidnapped by the Eggman Empire to be used as power sources for the Badnik Horde employed by Eggman and his various Egg Army factions. Over the course of time, the Freedom Fighters and other parties have freed countless Cluckies from their robot shells during their battles with Badniks.[1]

Shattered World Crisis

Note: From the readers point of view, this picks up from where the Cluckies' original timeline ended.

When the Shattered World Crisis began, the Cluckies were amongst many of the animals caught up in crumbling landmasses caused by the planetary break-up.[2]
