City Escape is the tenth world in Sonic Speed Simulator. This world is based on the location of the same name from Sonic Adventure 2. It can be unlocked after the playable character buys the world for 20,000,000 Rings. The tenth questline is located here, which is used to unlock Vector the Crocodile as a playable character. The Zone currently features an event which can be completed to unlock Grind Shoe Sonic as a playable character and the Blue Star ZG Hoverboard as a equippable mount.

Description

City Escape is based on City Escape from Sonic Adventure 2. As such, it is a very metropolis-esque world consisting of many urban apartments and buildings. The whole area is based on the city of San Francisco, California, including the Golden Gate Bridge as one of the many structures. Its backdrop is filled with hills full of trees and towns. Ramps are found through the world as well as twisted grey rails and blue Sky Rings.

Knuckles' hat found on a bench

On April 24, 2023, Knuckles' hat from his TV series can be found on a bench nearby to spawn. This was added to tease a then-upcoming Knuckles hat UGC item (limited to 12,500 units) in the following update.

During the Symphony Showdown and Two Years Running events, podiums were set up in City escape for each event.

Gameplay

The world of City Escape is identical to its race, except that it has been expanded. Ramps and blue Sky Rings can be found throughout the map.

• 2 Years Running Event: Complete tasks to unlock items and the Grind Shoe Sonic skin.
• Dark Rider Event: Collect the parts for Shadow's signature motorcycle for the Year of Shadow.
  • Note: The event itself was moved to Radical Highway.
