Chrysaor is an item that appears in Sonic and the Black Knight. It is an unlockable weapon that can be equipped to and wielded by Sir Gawain.

Description

Appearance

Chrysaor is a pair of identical weapons that resemble a single bit battleaxe. Each weapon has a straight greenish gray grib with a bulb as a sword pommel. Above each grip, Chrysaor has a metallic bar that is decorated so it looks like it has been wrapped up in a scaly rope. The back of each bar on the weapons have a single metallic leaf hanging near the top, and the front of them is attached to a golden curved cutting edge through two metallic plant-like sterms.

Etymology

Chrysaor is a character who appears in Greek mythology. Chrysaor is the brother of Pegasus and is often depicted as a young man, he is the child of Poseidon and Medusa.

Chrysaor's name in Greek translates into English as "He who has a golden sword," fitting in with the color of the weapon's blade in the game.
