The Chopper Boost is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series
Description [ ] The Chopper Boost's icon takes form of Movie Knuckles ' motorbike leaves orange flame trail behind. In gameplay, Series Knuckles ' activates the Chopper Boost with his motorbike.
Overview [ ] In gameplay, the Chopper Boost can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Series Knuckles .
Once obtained, the player can utilize the Chopper Boost by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Chopper Boost will stop the user for about a half second, then will increase the speed of the user for a short amount of time. The duration of the Chopper Boost is shown by the decreasing gauge on top of this power-up's icon on the bottom of the HUD whenever the Chopper Boost is in effect. Any rival character who makes contact with the user while the Chopper Boost is in effect will take damage, causing them to lose Rings and slow down momentarily. In addition, the Chopper Boost makes them invulnerable to any obstacles, but not for bottomless pit .
The Chopper Boost can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 2, 8, 14 and 20 respectively. For each upgrade, the Chopper Boost will last longer.
