The Charged Wrench Attack (チャージスパナアタック, Chāji Supana Atakku^?, lit. "Charge Spanner Attack") is a move that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is the enhanced version of the Wrench Attack used by Miles "Tails" Prower whereby he can deal an increased amount of damage to his opponents and also uses it as a platform for altitude gaining.

When using the Charged Wrench Attack, Tails holds onto a wrench and charges it with energy, then releases it into the air. When released, the charged wrench transforms into four larger floating wrenches. Three of which move in a circular pattern successively, while the last one floats in the center of this circle while rotating around its perpendicular axis.

This pattern of movement creates a circular platform out of thin air which can be used to gain altitude in the air. Furthermore, as it uses multiple wrenches instead of one, the damage output and the attack's duration are multiple times higher than those of the Wrench Attack.

Overview

In Sonic Frontiers, the Charged Wrench Attack is one of Tails' Skills in The Final Horizon.

To use it, the player must hold // until the wrench Tails is holding becomes white, then release the button. This attack, while it lasts much longer time than its predecessor, only one instance of this move can be active at a time. Creating another instance of this attack causes the previous instance to fizzle. Furthermore, if the player uses it as a platform to gain higher altitude, it will fizzle instantly.

In order to unlock it, the player must use 40 Skill Points as Tails.
