Character Tokens are silver tokens with a character on each side with a background corresponding to the characters' main color.

In Sonic Dash, prior to version 7.0.0, Character Tokens were used to unlock playable characters during Events. During gameplay, they could be found in every Zone in the game. Across the game's history, the amount of character tokens needed to unlock a character changed multiple times, starting at 100, then changing to 500, then lowering to 250, and ending at 1,000 before their replacement in version 7.0.0 of the original Sonic Dash.
