The Chaos Spear is a Chaos Power that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by the Archie Comics. It is one of Shadow the Hedgehog's signature techniques. When performing this technique, Shadow channels a bolt made of Chaos energy.

Chaos Spear is a technique where Shadow charges raw Chaos energy as a form of electricity into a yellow-green energy construct shaped like a spear, complete with an arrowhead, and then throws it as an energy bolt. Once manifested, the Chaos Spears are substantial enough to be physically grabbed. The damage that the Chaos Spear deals to the target may vary between physical harm, or movement immobilization.[1]

Firing the Chaos Spears is done in two primary ways. The first method includes Shadow just swinging his hands forward to fire them as arrows.[2] The second method includes Shadow grabbing and then throwing them manually like actual spears.[3] When deployed in the latter manner, Shadow can also wield the Chaos Spears like weapons in close-combat.[4]
