The Chaos Gauge[1] (カオスゲージ,Kaosu Gēji?) is a game mechanic that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a gauge that allows the player to charge energy for Chaos Control.

Overview[]
In Shadow Generations, the Chaos Gauge appears as a mechanic where the player needs to store energy in order to utilize Chaos Control. On the right of the gauge, it displays the controller button the player is required to press to use Chaos Control. It can be filled by attacking enemies and hitting Item Boxes that contain Chaos energy.
