The Chaos Emerald of Invisibility[1] is an object that appears in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series. It is one of the four magical Chaos Emeralds, which was sought by Dr. Ivo Robotnik during the Quest for the Chaos Emeralds saga.
Description[]
Appearance[]
The Chaos Emerald of Invisibility looks like a green-white gem, small enough to fit in the palm of Dr. Robotnik's hand.[1][2]
Powers and traits[]
The Chaos Emerald of Invisibility can make any living being that touches it invisible. It can also make itself invisible. However, the invisibility it grants can be negated if the holder is covered in a visible substance, such as sand or flour.[1][2]
Like the other three Chaos Emeralds, the Chaos Emerald of Invisibility holds an incredible amount of power. When combined with the other three Emeralds, the Chaos Emerald of Invisibility can provide the wielder with enough power to conquer the entire universe.[1] However, the effects will wear off if the user loses possession of the Chaos Emeralds.[2]
History[]
TV series[]
Season one[]
Buried on Shark Island in the era of pirates, the Chaos Emerald of Invisibility was first found by Sonic and Tails during an attempt to keep it out of Dr. Ivo Robotnik's hands. However, the doctor was able to obtain it from Sonic and escape in his Time Machine, but Sonic stole it back by disguising himself as a time cop and taking the Emerald back from Robotnik. Sonic then reburied the Chaos Emerald in its treasure chest on Shark Island.[1]
After stealing the other three Chaos Emeralds, Dr. Robotnik returned to Shark Island at an earlier point in time and had Scratch and Grounder dig up the Chaos Emerald of Invisibility. Using then the Chaos Emerald of Life, Robotnik transformed the treasure chest into a Treasure Chest Crab creature which ate Sonic when he arrived and allowed Robotnik to escape with the Chaos Emeralds.[2]
Uniting the four Chaos Emeralds in his own era, Robotnik transformed into the Supreme High Robotnik. However, he was defeated by Sonic and Tails when the two recruited several past versions of themselves from across time to help them take down Robotnik. Afterward, the Chaos Emerald of Invisibility, along with the other Chaos Emeralds, were returned to their rightful places in time.[2]
