Chao Rescue

Chao Rescue is a feature that appears in the remastered version of Sonic Generations in Sonic X Shadow Generations. Here, Classic and Modern Sonic can rescue Chao who are scattered across the various stages.

Description

During Sonic's birthday, a mysterious entity known as the Time Eater, appeared in the sky and proceeded to suck all of Sonic's friends into Time Holes, including the Chao who were in attendance.

After completing Act 2 of Green Hill, a pop-up will appear, telling the player to search for the various Chao hidden in the stages. Once found, the Chao temporarily follow Classic and Modern Sonic through the levels before disappearing and will then be seen floating around the stage entrances.

There are a total of fifty-four different Chao to find with three Chao per Act, which can all be viewed in the Collection Room on the now-viewable bookshelf, which is also used to display hints on where each Chao is located.
