STC112-ChannelHoppers

The Channel Hoppers from Sonic the Comic #112. Black and white art by Carl Flint and colour by John M Burns.

The Channel Hoppers (Jiggly, Wiggly and Floppy) is a group that appears in the Sonic the Comic series published by Fleetway. They are three childrens' TV characters.

Description

They resemble humanoid children in brightly-coloured clothes (one red with a smiley on his stomach, one blue with a sun on his stomach, and one green with a flower on his stomach) with blue lights on their heads and antennae where their ears should be, who bounce around on space hoppers and have "hilarious antics". Their show is incredibly popular with children, but makes adults (and anyone with an IQ greater than a three year old's) nauseous.

They are secretly three members of D.R.A.T. in disguise: Brother Barry, a bulldog, in the blue costume; Brother Percy, a coyote, in the red costume; and an unnamed chimp in the green costume. They used their TV show to send out a subliminal message on a frequency that could only be picked up by young minds, making them think that Robotnik was wonderful.

Their plan was foiled by Tails, who had Tim Tuna the TV retuner block their signal and replace it with one that carried a message revealing their plot. After Tails beat them up, they slouched away.[1]
