Cavern Island (ブロッコとう[1] Burokko-tō?, lit. "Brocco Island") is the fifth level in Tails Adventure. It is a small island northeast of Cocoa Island, and features a large network of underwater caverns.

Description[]

Cavern Island features a very distinct style, as most of it takes place in an underwater maze. The scenery is a muted shade of blue, and there are many bright green and pink pieces of coral attached to the cavern walls. Once back above the sea water, the cave becomes a dark green shade and there is an abundance of stalagmites and stalactites.

Story[]

Gameplay[]

Overview[]

From inside the Sea Fox, the player must ride the underwater currents to get around. There are many different paths and tunnels to travel through, though many will just put Tails back at the start of the level. Further into the level, the caverns become devoid of almost all water and the player must walk around now, avoiding spikes, enemies, and eventually face the level's boss.

Boss[]

Main article: Mecha Golem (5-gou)

The boss of this level is a blue Mecha Golem (5-gou) that is controlled by a Pilot Combatant. It is found in a hidden room on the island. The golem will slash at Miles with its right arm, while shooting missiles towards the player from its left. After defeating the boss, the player will be rewarded with the Anti-air Missile.
