Castle Acorn is a location that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is the seat of Mobius' ruling monarchy, the House of Acorn, and is the crown jewel and primary hub of the Kingdom of Acorn's capital.

History[]

Previous versions of Castle Acorn existed in Robotropolis (which became the command center of Dr. Ivo Robotnik after his military coup and was destroyed by O.T.I.S.),[1][2][3] and later Knothole (which was destroyed by Dr. Eggman's attack on Knothole).[4]

Another incarnation of the castle was built by Nicole via Nanites in memory of the splendor of Old Mobotropolis, and serves as the home of the Royal family.[5] Since Royal Army General Amadeus Prower's revolution (which served to re-form the Kingdom into the Republic of Acorn) it also became the primary meeting place for the Council of Acorn, with the counselors all having offices and optional residences inside the Castle.[6][7]

Castle Acorn became occupied by the forces of the Iron Dominion after Nicole was possessed by the Iron Queen's Magitek, allowing them to enter the city and take control.[8][9]

The castle was later destroyed by the Battle Bird Armada during their attempt to excavate Babylon Garden.[10] NICOLE eventually restored it, only for it to start breaking up due to the efforts of Tails Doll.[11]
