Casino Night is a course that appears in Sonic Drift 2. It is a racing track located in the Casino Night Zone. It is the fourth course in the Purple Chaos GP.
Description
The setting of Casino Night is created in the likeness of the Zone of the same name in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The racecourse takes place at nighttime in a huge city of blocky orange buildings filled with neon colored light. The general racing field is yellow and orange, and the sky is black and dotted with stars. In the far background, numerous buildings give off countless vibrant electric colors in the form of window lights and advertising billboards. Also, up in front in the background there are rows of stacked orange blocks in different heights with a red road running on top of them that is held up by blue support beams on the blocks' top.
The racing tracks through Casino Night are mainly colored in alternating grey horizontal stripes in different shades with similarly colored brown and orange edges. Also, on both the inside and outside of the tracks, there are occasionally tall Bobbins.
Gameplay
In Casino Night, the player's objective is to get the top position in the race. Racing outside the border of the asphalt track will cause the player to lose speed immediately. Additionally, there is also a section of the racetrack where there is empty space on both sides of the road, which the player can fall into if moving outside the road. If that happens, the player falls off the road and has to wait for a giant metal crane to drop him/her back onto the racetrack, which can cost the player a lot of time.
Scattered both on and outside the racetrack are tall Bobbins that will send the player reeling to the side if he/she hits one, effectively knocking the player off course. There also lie Triangle Bumpers on the road that work similarly to Ramps; driving over these Triangle Bumpers will launch the player into a small flying leap, similar to when using Jump or a Spring.
Overview
In Casino Night, the player races on a circular racing track encompassing the entire map. Additionally, the racing track is littered with different power-ups and objects that the player can utilize. Here, the player's objective is to complete three laps of the racetrack. The fastest racer to complete three laps is rewarded with a Chaos Emerald.
