Proposal: I shoot us a new hallway.
Take it easy, Tin-Man. We've got our resident alien-hybrid thing to show us the way.
Are you trying to antagonize me?
Maybe. Why? Does it hurt your wittle feewings?
No. It just makes you sound like an idiot.

E-123 Omega, Captain Andrews and Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Universe #59

Captain Andrews is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. He is a human and the commanding officer of G.U.N.'s Spider Troupe.

Appearance[]

Andrews is a tall man with peach skin, ginger hair and blue eyes. When not in his battle suit, he wears the standard G.U.N. uniform.

History[]

Shattered World Crisis[]

Act One[]

TheTroupe

Captain Andrews and his crew waiting on Shadow's story, from Sonic Universe #59.

Captain Andrews and his team, the Spider Troupe, were tasked with escorting Team Dark on a trip to destroy the New Black Comet before it invaded the world. During his time there, Andrews would try to mock Shadow the Hedgehog. After Shadow left to cover more ground, Andrews, the Spider Troupe, Rouge the Bat and E-123 Omega found themselves nearly eaten by Death Leeches. Luckily, they got away with the addition of their gas masks.[1][2]

Later on, Andrews would argue with Rouge as he wanted to press on even though Shadow had not returned. He ultimately left Rouge to navigate both teams. He later dismissed Lodge's request to set the nuke given to them in a random area. Soon on, as Shadow seemingly turned against them, Andrews and the Spider Troupe pressed on to set the nuke while Rouge and Omega handled their partner. However, Andrews was swiftly defeated by Eclipse the Darkling and was going to be used as nutrition for the alien's Dark Arms. Luckily, Andrews and his team were found by Rouge and Omega. With this, Andrews left the duo to arm the nuke while he and the Spider Troupe returned to Shuttle Ratatosk with what was left of their strength.[2][3][4]

Personality[]

Captain Andrews is a headstrong leader with a sense of justice. He is quite stubborn and will see to it that orders are followed correctly. On top of this, however, he also has a rude sense of humor and finds some joy in attempts to make fun of Shadow the Hedgehog, who he seemingly has a grudge against. He seems to dislike all members of Team Dark in general, calling them "Tower's pet freaks".
