Caltoy

Caltoy is a toy company that makes stuffed toys (plushies), for children aged two to eight years old. They made plushies for the Sonic the Hedgehog series from 1993 to 1994.

Sonic the Hedgehog plushies

In 1993, Caltoy released plushies for the Sonic the Hedgehog series of Sonic the Hedgehog, due to the then-recent success of Sonic the Hedgehog (1991) and Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The plushies were available in three different sizes, as well as a “talking” version.

During a promotion at Best Buy, Caltoy produced a an exclusive and much larger sized version of their Sonic plush. The plush was 52 inches tall and was only available as a prize that could to be won.[1]

In 1994, Caltoy released a plush of Miles "Tails" Prower to join the series and was available in two sizes.[2]
