The Buzzer is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog serialized manga published by Shogakukan. It is a mass produced, wasp-based robot model created by Dr. Eggman.[1]
Appearance[]
Based on wasps, the Buzzers have a red metallic body with two small jets each, and a black and yellow striped abdomen with a cannon "stinger" each. They also possess a blue head with two yellow and gray antennae, and two cartoonish black eyes with white sclera.[2]
A special Buzzer model that appeared once had a similar appearance to the average Buzzer, except that it had a silver body rather than a red one and a black and blueish black abdomen.[1]
History[]
Shogaku Ichinensei[]
In an effort to attack Tails, Dr. Eggman deployed a gray Buzzer model to an abandoned town where the fox was located, and had it engage him in combat. However, Tails managed to fend of the Buzzer long enough for Sonic to arrive and destroy it with his super-speed.[1]
Shogaku Ninensei[]
A swarm of Buzzers would one time attack Charmy Bee. However, Sonic was able to destroy them with a Rolling Attack.[2]
Powers and abilities[]
In addition to being capable of flight, the Buzzers can launch small lasers from their stingers.[1]
