The Burning Fire Boost is a move used by Burning Blaze in the Sonic the Hedgehog comics series and its spin offs published by Archie Comics. It is a explosion of fire that Burning Blaze uses to propel herself forward.
Description
When using the Burning Fire Boost, Burning Blaze focuses herself and increases her temperature to such high levels that it can make the Egg O' War's systems fail completely, enveloping herself in a sphere of flames. She then shoots herself forward with a mighty blast of fire that is strong enough to pierce her through the Egg O' War and tear apart the ground in her wake.
History
When Burning Blaze gave Amy, Cream, and Cheese an escape route out of the Egg O' War, which Captain Metal had uploaded himself into, Burning Blaze went into the core of the Egg O' War and used the Burning Fire Boost to escape and as well damage the Egg O' War.[1]
Trivia
- The term "Burning Fire Boost" was actually a fan term given to the actual video game move. However, it should be noted that Sonic Universe #58 officially revealed the name of this term, and the writer of that issue, Tracy Yardley, has a feeling that he may have gotten it from Sonic News Network.[2]
- Accordingly, the Burning Fire Boost was used as a substitute for Burning Blaze's flight abilities as Sega did not want the comics to show Burning Blaze flying.[2]
