The Bumper is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics.

Appearance[]
The Bumper is a large red levitating orb, slightly smaller than Hunter's head. It has an antennae on it and has "Egg" written on it, suggesting it was made by Eggman. It has a smaller blue circle wherein there is a yellow star in it.
Features and traits[]
The Bumper was capable of levitation and would float near Hunter. Hunter was capable of controlling it through unknown means, and like its game counterpart, it could be used to impede the movement of his opponent.
History[]
Hired by Dr. Eggman, the Overlander known as Hunter showed up to help deal with suppressing the Echidna resistance so that Eggman could acquire the Master Emerald. The bumper was one of the several weapons Hunter used in combat against his enemies. Specifically, he used the Bumper to stall Sonic as he went to deal with the Echidnas.[1][2]
