The Boost Ring is a gimmick that appears in the Sonic Boom series. They are large hoops that increase the running of the characters passing through them, similar to Boost Pads.

The Boost Rings are large hoops that encircle the entire roads they are found on, with the roads resting on their inner rim. Their outer rim is made of metal and is segmented by recesses while their inner rim glows cyan. However, the coloring of their outer rim depends on the level they are found in.

In Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric the Boost Rings are located exclusively in the speed sections of the game. When the playable characters passes through one, it will briefly flash cyan and the playable characters will suddenly and immediately begin running forward at maximum speed. The Boost Rings' function is similar to the Boost Pads', but there is no way around them if the player would like to backtrack later.
