When performing the Booming Missile, the Chao Walker fires one rapid barrage of yellow Homing Missiles from it missile launcher simultaneously which will then pinpoint and rain down on the foe. In gameplay, the attack automatically homes in on the opponent and the missiles are nearly unavoidable due to the large amount of them that are fired at the same time. Unlike Crazy Rush, Booming Missile fires just one round of Homing Missiles instead of two, and the number of missiles fired are less than average.
Booming Missile can only be performed by playing as the Chao Walker in the games' two-player mode. To use it, the player must press // after collecting fifteen Rings. To use it again, the player has to collect another fifteen Rings.
- Like all the basic special attacks in Sonic Adventure 2, the user does not strike a pose before executing this move.
- If some missiles fall into the ground, they can still be seen flying around in the underground of the current arena.
