You may be looking for the Emblem.

Bonus Points (ボーナスポイント Bōnasu pointo?) are small emblems that the player is able to earn at the end of first and second acts of each zone. These objects are first seen in the 16-bit version of original Sonic the Hedgehog and also appeared in Wii U version of Sonic Lost World.

These small emblems are always located and hidden past the Signpost and Giant Ring at the end of Act 1 and Act 2 of each zone. Their location is dependent on which zone the player is located in. These objects activate when a player jumps in certain places after passing the Signpost at the end of each level. Scrap Brain Zone act 2 is the only act that doesn't have bonus points hidden at the end. As they can title, they will grant 100, 1 000 or 10 000 points for the player.

Bonus Points also make an appearance in the Wii U version of Sonic Lost World. Unlike the original Sonic the Hedgehog, the player has to jump on the Capsule to end each zone. Depending on the position that the player lands on the capsule, they will earn Bonus Points, which, also unlike the original Sonic the Hedgehog, come in increments of 100, 500 and 1 000. These will pop on the screen after opening the Capsule. The player can easily get Bonus Points by jumping from far away or performing th Bound Jump.

  • Bonus points in the original Sonic the Hedgehog have the appearance of the title screen of the game.
  • In the original Sonic the Hedgehog, 100 bonus points are actually only worth 10 points due to a flaw in the programming.
