I'll concede to that, and I'll back off unitl we can find some more people willing to help. But I think it'd go without saying that I wouldn't be fighting this hard if I weren't ready to volunteer.
I did offer descriptions and (when I could) added pictures for the Level Tournament. If I had known about the Game Tournament, I would've helped out then...I like to contribute whenever I can, and this would've been no exception.
I won't press this agenda any further until I can find dedicated helpers. In the meantime, I'll compile the songs from the series myself and see if I can make an even match-up--at least enough to construct brackets.
I know at least one graphic designer who owes me a favor--he doesn't really like Sonic stuff that much, but he usually puts his personal feeling aside in order to get the project done. If not, I'm friends with another guy, I can see what he says about it.
Once I get everything together, I can present a case to the admins, and if they're on board, they can provide the edits!
Anyway, I won't come back unprepared, but I do have one question: Are descirptions really necessary for music tracks? It made sense in the level and game tourneys because it was so immersive and interactive--triggering impulses through multiple senses. Music only requires listening--and in my opinion, that's all that should really be said: Just listen. If we were required to put in descriptions, I'd have absolutely no idea what they'd say or how it would be structred. If I get this all together, I think descriptions--other than a slight blurb about which game it came from or what year--would probably be better off just excluded this time.
With that, I'll leave and make a plan to organize all this together.
