The Blue Star is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by Archie Comics. It is Sonic the Hedgehog's personal Extreme Gear.

Description[]

Appearance[]

The Blue Star is designed as a metal-plated blue hover board with a yellow stripe ringing around it and a light gray foot panel with striations.

Powers and abilities[]

Being an Extreme Gear, the Blue Star is capable of flying, or at least hovering, at high speeds.

History[]

Past[]

In the past, the Blue Star was designed by Tails for Sonic to use during their earliest meetings with the Babylon Rogues, before being replaced with a superior model.[1] Regardless, this Gear would be reused by Sonic in two later adventures.[2][3]

Shattered World Crisis[]

Note: From the readers point of view, this picks up from where the Blue Star's original timeline ended.

Worlds Unite[]

MM51 Heroes Departure

Sonic riding the Blue Star, from Mega Man #51.

When Sigma had begun targeting multiple worlds in his bid for complete domination over the multiverse, Sonic used the Blue Star to travel to these worlds, recruit their heroes, and return to the Unified World.[4][5] This event was later undone when the time paradox caused by Xander Payne made it so Sigma's conquest never happened.[6]

Act Two[]

During a mission to rescue Chip from Dr. Eggman, Sonic made his way to the Gaia Colossus via the Blue Star.[7]
