The Blowfish Transporter is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. It is a mass-produced model of Badniks created by Dr. Eggman that usually serves as transport vessels for regular Badnik troops.
The Blowfish Transporters are based on the pufferfish. They have round bodies with purple armor and white underbellies. They also have a pair of wing-like fins with purple and white turbine engines, along with a pair of smaller turbine engines on the bottom of their bellies. Blowfish Transporters have as well two black eyes, a flat orange beak and a small caudal fin on their rear. They also have hatches on their front bellies which lead to a wide storage room inside their bodies.
After Sonic the Hedgehog thwarted Dr. Eggman in their last encounter, the Doctor disappeared while his Blowfish Transporters and the rest of his Badnik army remained. Without a leader however, the Blowfish Transporters were directionless and no longer a unified threat. However, they would still randomly attack anyone they came across (although such incidents were more accidental than aggression-based).
Soon after, a Blowfish Transporter was deployed to help a Badnik army invade a town. While bringing more Egg Pawns to the battlefield however, the Blowfish Transporter was discovered by Sonic and Amy. Sonic and Amy subsequently used their Croquette Bomber technique to destroy the Blowfish Transporter and stop the invasion.
Basically, the Blowfish Transporters are mindless and silent drones programmed to follow their leader's every command. As such, when left without a leader to follow, they become directionless and only able to cause harm by accident. Under a guiding force however, they are cold and merciless machines who carry out their commands without question.
Powers and abilities
Blowfish Transporters have the ability to fly in mid-air. They can also carry cargo inside their bodies to different locations and deploy them from any position.
- The Blowfish Transporter is based on the enemy of the same name from the Sonic the Hedgehog video games.
