The Blossom Glide is an Item Box power-up that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series
Description [ ] The Blossom Glide's icon takes the form of pink petal spinning forward, leaving the pink trail in its wake. In gameplay, the Blossom Glide will became the petal as a hoverboard, while Blossom Amy, who uses the power-up, gliding on it.
Overview [ ] In gameplay, the Blossom Glide can only be obtained at random from Item Boxes by Blossom Amy .
Once obtained, the player can utilize the Blossom Glide by pressing its icon on the bottom of the HUD. When used, the Blossom Glide will increase the speed of the user for a short amount of time. The duration of the Blossom Glide is shown by the decreasing gauge on top of this power-up's icon on the bottom of the HUD whenever the Blossom Glide is in effect. In addition, it allows the user to switch between floating slightly above the ground, completely above ground and sliding along the ground. However, the Blossom Glide will not make the user invulnerable to collision with obstacles while it is in effect. If the user does so, the power-up will be prematurely disabled.
The Blossom Glide can also be upgraded by leveling the user up to level 2, 8 and 14 respectively. For each upgrade, the Golden Boost will last longer.
